I'm actually shocked how much nicer my car idles and runs. Even though all the tanks say they have less than 10% ethanol, some gas is just better than others here. The best gas I've used was Shell. I got amazing drivability and gas milage (in the 25mpg area) out of Shell gas. I usually get 20-22mpg on the highway, but I've noticed that number dropped a bit in the past couple of years. I wouldn't doubt ethanol standards being the cause. My dad noticed the same on all of his vehicles, too, and he drives like an old bitty.
